Community members facing barriers to wellness are invited to join our cooking classes.
What to Expect:
- Explore tasty, balanced recipes with vegetables and fruit, protein and whole grains
- Build food skills and confidence in the kitchen
- Connect and share ideas with others
- Get grocery gift cards to help buy ingredients

For Community Members:
Virtual Cooking Classes
Join a virtual cooking class, from the comfort of your own space! Enjoy LIVE cooking demos, share tips, and get new ideas to cook tasty food on a budget. This takes place on weekday mornings, 10:30am-12:30pm, once per week for 3 weeks. You need internet access. Basic Tech Help is available to access the class.
In Person Cooking Classes
Join a small group of up to 12 people. Cook tasty, nutritious food in-person at the Lakelands Peterborough Kitchen. Classes take place once a week on weekdays for 3-5 weeks.
For Service Agencies:
Classes can be offered in partnership with community agencies. Email ccwu@lakelandsph.ca to explore options.
At Home Cooking Challenges
Cook recipes in your own kitchen with family or friends! This class has 3 “challenges.” Each includes a choice of recipes to make and try at home that week. Share your feedback and pictures to access the next challenge.
